Tella rappresenta la gioia di vivere fatta a cane, è quello che gli anglosassoni chiamano "happy dog". La felicità con la quale affronta le consuetidini quotidiane diventa contagiosa, sicché è impossibile resistere ai suoi travolgenti "buongiorno" mattutini a suon di leccate distribuite in ogni dove, trattamento che non manca di riservare anche ai visitatori. Il suo è un carattere solare, sempre rispettosa nei confronti delle "matrone" di casa e dei ruoli nel branco. Si segnala soltanto una pericolosa quanto perniciosa tendenza ad associarsi in azioni teppistiche con Janis, praticamente la sua ombra.
